Traineeships

For students of the Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering, a period of practical training in a company is included in the syllabus (between 360 and 450 hours), while for students of the Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, the traineeship is optional. For students in a Master's degree, the practical training period is optional, too.

EETAC has contacts with more than 180 companies and research institutes, which guarantees a wide pool of choices from where students can pick out according to their professional preferences.

Students can acquire this experience by doing the Bachelor's or Master's Thesis at a company or by spending part of one semester working as trainee student in some of the companies with which EETAC has a collaboration agreement. The availability of internships is periodically updated at the school intranet and are accessible by all the students and staff.

Application procedure

Students interested in carrying out a traineeship should contact us at: eetac.mobilitat.estudiants@upc.edu specifying your area of interest, motivation and suggested dates for the stay. Please attach your CV to the message.

The maximum number of hours a student can spend in a traineeship is regulated by UPC, so it is the salary the student should receive according to his profile. At the end of the training period, the student, the company and the student's tutor write an evaluation report and fill out a questionnaire which is used to assign a final qualification to the student for this activity.

If you are an incoming student from another university and you would like to apply for a traineeship, it is necessary to have a teacher with whom you will be working before we accept your application. You can find more information on the Research Groups of our School in the "Research" folder. It is important to apply within the same deadline of the exchange programs.
