Dr. Juraj Machaj’s bio:
Juraj Machaj is currently working as an associate prof. and vice-head of the Department of Multimedia and Information-Communication Technology at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, University of Zilina, Slovakia. He received his PhD. from the Department of Telecommunications and Multimedia, at the University of Zilina in 2012. During his PhD studies, he was on a 3-month internship at the Tampere University of Technology. He was at the MSCA research fellowships at The University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia, Tongji University, Shanghai, China, Ramboll UK, Glasgow, Scotland, as well as PanonIT Novi Sad, Serbia. He is the author of more than 60 scientific publications. His research interests include wireless sensor networks, IoT, 5G networks, intelligent transport systems, and positioning systems.

Dr. Peter Počta’s bio:
Peter POČTA received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in telecommunication from the University of Žilina, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Slovakia in 2004 and 2007, respectively. During his Ph.D. study, he was awarded a number of fellowships. Firstly, he spent 3 months as an Erasmus student in the Department of Electrical Engineering
and Information Technology, Chair of Telecommunications at the Dresden University of Technology, Germany where he collaborated on testing principles over ADSL access lines. Secondly, he was with Alcatel-Lucent, R&D center, Network Integration department, Stuttgart, Germany where he investigated an impact of some settings of
WiMAX system on speech quality. He is currently a Full Professor at the Department of Multimedia and Information-Communication Technology of the University of Žilina and is involved with International Standardization through the ETSI TC STQ as well as ITU-T SG12. His research interests include speech, audio, video and audiovisual quality assessment, speech intelligibility, multimedia communication, QoE management and V2X communication. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers in international journals and conferences including the Acta Acustica united with Acustica, IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting, Applied Acoustics (Elsevier), Signal Processing: Image Communication (Elsevier), ACM Transactions on Multimedia Computing, Communications and Application, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems, Vehicular Communications (Elsevier), MESAQIN and QoMEX conferences. He also frequently serves as a reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Multimedia,
Digital Signal Processing (Elsevier), IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology, IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles, Neurocomputing (Elsevier) and Telecommunication Systems (Springer) and several conferences in area of multimedia quality and communication networks.
