MASTEAM Talks - Marc Fàbregas - Hardware is hard: let's make it softer!

The Master's degree in Applied Telecommunications and Engineering Management (MASTEAM) organizes a weekly series of activities (talks, technical visits, discussion pannels) that complement the academic activities with real-world experiences from companies, research centres and institutions in the main topics of the master: Internet of Things. Smart Cities, 5G mobile communications, Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Radio (SDR), cloud computing, augmented reality and audiovisual services, among others.

This week's activity will be a talk from Marc Fàbregas (Zolertia).

Speaker: Marc Fàbregas (Founder, leader and strategist at Zolertia).

Title: "Hardware is hard: let's make it softer!"

Abstract: Experiences, frequent mistakes, lessons learned and advice to keep in mind when designing and selling a (somewhat successful) electronic device while reducing risks.

Bio: Marc Fàbregas Bachs has more than 7 years of specialisation in the design and development of electronic devices and 15 years he started as entrepreneur in his own technology-based companies. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Telecommunication Engineering and Electronics Engineering and his technical skills include expertise on ultra low-power designs, wireless communications and micro-controller based systems for different applications of the loT technology. Marc is indeed an IoT devotee and since 2014 he is the founder of Zolertia, an IoT-based hardware start-up, where he focus on the management, leadership and business strategy, applying its technology to lots of different markets.
