CORUSfive - Concept Exploration Workshop

Objective of the workshop: Agree, refine, enrich and prioritize areas and open research questions the extended U-space Concept of Operations should address; this may include stakeholders’ needs, requirements, associated risks and scenarios/use cases related to ATM and U-space operations

Participants: U-space researchers, industry, service providers, drone operators and other U-space stakeholders wishing to contribute to the extended U-space Concept of Operations development in the CORUS five project.

The workshop will be structured along six thematic areas which will be presented briefly in the beginning of the workshop. The CORUS five team has prepared an extensive list of open research questions which will be used as an input for the refinement, completion and prioritization of relevant aspects the extended ConOps must address. These thematic areas are: 

1. Cross-Cutting Issues and Emerging Topics
2. Flight Rules and Airspace Management
3. Integration and Management of AAM Operations
4. Safety Assessment and Separation Standards for AAM Operations in Shared Airspace
5. Economic Aspects and Regulatory Frameworks for AAM Operations in U-space
6. Data Integrity, Cybersecurity and Multi-USSP environment

Workshop participants will have the opportunity to contribute to the discussion in each of these areas in facilitated sessions. Participants will rotate between sessions addressing each of these areas; six sessions, distributed between the two workshop days, are therefore planned.
