Deadline to apply: 30 April 2018. 19th CVA Summer School will take place from 15 July to 11 August 2018. This year's session will be hosted by Escuela Tecnica Superior de Ingenieria and the City of Seville.

Founded in 1998 as a non-profit association, the Community of Ariane Cities (CVA) brings together European cities – referred to as Ariane Cities – and partner industrial firms working in European space transportation.

The CVA enables them to strengthen their cooperation, keep elected representatives and citizens informed about space activities in Europe and help train future space sector professionals.

19th CVA Summer School will take place from 15 July to 11 August 2018. This year's session will be hosted by Escuela Tecnica Superior de Ingenieria and the City of Seville.

Deadline to apply: 30 April 2018

Registration fees: 300€ for CVA member university students, 500€ for CVA industry young engineers, 800€ for university students from ex-CVA member city still with industrial partner (Barcelona, Madrid, Ottobrunn) .
Fees include tuition and visits, accommodation and some meals. 

Requirements: A maximum of 35 participants complying with following criteria:

  • having completed at least the third year in engineering in June 2018
  • being able to follow lectures and carry out team work in English
  • being recommended by their university professor or their employee
  • being a citizen from the European Union or an ESA Member State.

Application process: Applications should be collected by the University Professors or CVA Industry Members and sent (preferably in a "priority order" to help with the selection procedure)  via e-mail to eros.pittarelli@esa.int and carl@us.es, and should include (all in English):

  • Letter of motivation
  • CV
  • Letter of recommendation
