Wednesday, 4th of December, at 17:30 in room C4-021B of the EETAC. Both master and bachelor's degree students are invited to this talk.
The EETAC Master's degrees in Applied Telecom. and Engineering Management (MASTEAM) and Advanced Telecommunications Technologies (MATT) organize a weekly series of activities (talks, technical visits, discussion pannels) that complement the academic activities with real-world experiences from companies, research centres and institutions in the main topics of the master: Internet of Things, Smart Cities, 5G mobile communications, Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Radio (SDR), cloud computing, augmented reality and audiovisual services, among others.
Both master and bachelor's degree students are invited to this talk.

Abstract: Telecos.cat is the commercial brand of the ACET (Associació Catalana d'Enginyers de Telecomunicació). Created more than 25 years ago, this organization represents all the telecom, electronic and multimedia-audiovisual systems engineers in Catalonia, and works in a daily bases to provide them with a wide range of services in order to facilitate the day to day of their professional activity.
Bio: Carles Sabater is a telecommunications engineer (UPC) and master in IT services management (UOC). With more than 30 years of professional experience, he has been involved in major key projects (Olympic Games Barcelona92 or Port Aventura), and has also held different positions in large corporations (HP or Agilent Technologies) and in the public sector (LOCALRET). After a period working as a freelance telecom consultant, currently he contributes to the development of Telecos.cat activities as services manager.
