Title: Introduction to DDS
Speaker: Angel Martinez, Senior Software Engineer at RTI
Abstract: Have you ever wondered what's the communication middleware used by NASA in their Orion launch? Do you want to know how the Volkswagen Group communicates their Hardware in the Loop (HiL) Simulation systems? The solution is RTI Connext DDS, the first connectivity framework designed for the demanding requirements of the IIoT. Based on the Connext Databus, RTI’s software allows applications to exchange data in real time and provides the non-stop availability and security essential for mission-critical systems. If you want to learn more about the standard used by 1000+ IIoT projects come and join us to the 'Introduction to DDS' session."
Bio: Angel Martinez works in the RTI CTO office, where he leads initiatives to improve the RTI family of products from the user’s point of view. His other area of focus is on connecting DDS with other technologies. Angel joined RTI in 2014 as part of the RTI Tools development team and served as the technical lead of the RTI DDS Toolkit for LabVIEW. During this period, the RTI DDS Toolkit for LabVIEW was leveraged and becoming part of LabVIEW itself. He studied Computer Science Engineering at the University of Cordoba and received his Master's Degree in Computer and Network Engineering at the University of Granada.
