Below you will find this weeks’ Unite! initiatives recopilation. Unite! is an alliance of universities in seven European countries, leaders in technology and engineering.

Target: This series of activities is aimed at teaching staff, lecturers and faculty in all Unite! partner institutions (including Ph.D. students and postdocs involved with teaching), who are interested in sharing and developing teaching and learning practices.

  • Challenge-Based Learning for Sustainable Development Goals [starting Oct 6 and ending Oct 27]

  • Aalto University: Research data management open webinar series  

  1. How to Share Research Data Through a Data Repository: A Zenodo Example | Oct 14 2021 at 10–11.30 AM | Register

Aalto offers open and free access to Unite! universities for a series of webinars on research data management and open science. 

Target: The webinars, aimed at university staff and students, are open to everyone. No previous knowledge needed.

  • Student Co-creation Unite!4future Call is Open!         [Deadline: 22nd October]

A competition through metacampus the aim of calling for creative ideas about what can be expected at a university of the future. 

Target: Unite! students, each team must include students from at least 3 Unite! partner universities

Registration deadline: 22nd October

  • The AI and Music festival 2021 Hacks [23th & 24th of October]

Funding from programme: E +

A challenge that comes with a special price to encourage Unite! students to compete in these two parallel hackathons, which will take place within the Sónar AI and Music Festival. Unite! students from outside Barcelona, can participate remotely in the hackathons which will take place on 23 October, 12.00-20.00 CET and on 24 October, 8:00-12:00 CET for on-site participants. For online participants it will be open 24 hours. The Festival will then take place on 27-28 October.

  • Unite! Virtual Fair for students [3rd of November]

Unite! Virtual Fair for students on 3 November at 12-15 CET

Virtual courses, joint programmes, project weeks, mentoring and mobility between seven universities – this and much more Unite! offers for students.

Target:  Students and faculty.

Platform: The event will be held on a very visual and game-like platform called Spacial Chat.

  • Hackathon “From post Covid University to inclusive European University”. 

[22 -26 November]

Funding from programme: E+ (Task 6.6 Internationalisation at home)

Target: Students from each partner university. There is a maximum number of 35 participants divided in 5 teams made of students from each partner university.
