Continuous training

Continuous training at the EETAC is carried out through the Fundació Politècnica de Catalunya (FPC), an institution established by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) with the aim of promoting and fostering ongoing training activities for professionals in businesses and economic and social sectors in Catalonia. This list compiles the continuous training programs in which EETAC professors participate, making it of potential interest to EETAC students.

Master's in Continuous Training in Journalism and Artificial Intelligence.

The first edition of an ongoing education master's program with 60 ECTS credits is presented, offered in a semi-presential format in Spanish. The registration fee is 5,500€, and registrations remain open until the start of the course, scheduled from February to December 2024. Online classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 16:00 to 19:00. This master's program aims to update information professionals in the technological and digital environment, providing knowledge and tools to work in digital ecosystems with artificial intelligence technologies. It is supported by various institutions and is primarily open to communication graduates, with a preference for journalism graduates.

Microcredential Postgraduate in Data Science and Digital Technologies for Fleet Tracking and Management.

We present the first edition of a microcredential postgraduate program with 15 ECTS credits, 125 hours of in-person training in Spanish. The registration fee is 2,600€, but it can be financed for 500€ thanks to the support of the Ministry of Transport and the European Union. Registrations will remain open until the start of the course, from February 5th to July 15th, 2024, with classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 18:00 to 21:00 in Barcelona. This postgraduate program addresses the business demand to enhance fleet management, requiring professionals with skills in data science and digital technology. The training promotes digital proficiency and sustainability in transportation and mobility. It is open to European Union citizens or those with residency authorization in Spain. The postgraduate program equips engineers to optimize fleets with digital technology and data science, with basic programming knowledge recommended.

Microcredential Postgraduate in Urban Air Mobility: Integrating U-Space Technologies and Services.

We present the first edition of a microcredential postgraduate program that grants 15 ECTS credits and has a price of 2,600€, but can be financed with 500€ thanks to the support of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility, and Urban Agenda under the Next Generation EU Recovery Plan. The course will take place from February to July 2024, with classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 18:00 to 21:00 in Castelldefels. This training is aimed at professionals interested in the growing demand for urban air mobility solutions and provides skills and knowledge in U-Space technologies. Participants must be citizens of the European Union or have residency authorization in Spain.

Course in Ongoing Education in Agrifood Data Science

This is the first ongoing education course, with 7 ECTS credits (equivalent to 60 contact hours), in a face-to-face format in Spanish. The registration fee is 875€, with a 10% discount if you enroll before December 15. Registrations will remain open until the course starts, scheduled from January 13 to March 16, 2024, with classes on Fridays from 17:00 to 21:00 and Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Tech Talent Center, Barcelona. This course addresses the digital transformation of the agri-food sector and is aimed at professionals from various fields, including agri-food engineers, veterinarians, and biologists. The goal is to acquire knowledge in the use of data and data science tools to enhance sustainability in this sector.

Course in Artificial Intelligence: An Introduction through the IoT World

This practical artificial intelligence (AI) course is designed for professionals looking to apply AI in work environments. With no prior requirements in AI, it offers fundamental knowledge and addresses topics such as machine learning and neural networks. With ten interactive sessions and practical projects, participants acquire applicable skills.
