Master's Degrees
The Master's degree in Applied Telecommunications and Engineering Management (MASTEAM) prepares students for research or professional practice as engineers in cutting-edge Information and Communication Technology (ICT) fields. The topics include Smart Cities, Internet of things, 5th generation of mobile communications, sensor networks, optical communications in the cloud, network management, massive data processing (Big Data) and signal processing, software-defined networking and radio (SDR and SDN), smart objects, network security, business models and management in the ICT sector.
The Master's degree in Aerospace Science and Technology (MAST) provides advanced training in the sciences and technology that are currently most widely used and applied in the fields of aeronautics and space exploration. Graduates of this master’s degree will have been trained in an interdisciplinary area of knowledge that includes the study of theoretical and practical groundwork, techniques, methods and processes, and will be skilled at promoting, defining and managing innovative research projects.
The Master's degree in Applications and Technologies for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Drones) (MED for short) offers specialized training in the applications of drones, including technical aspects, such as platforms and instruments, and legal and economic aspects, such as regulations and business opportunities. Graduates of the master's degree will be qualified to join any company that is devoted to developing and selling industrial solutions based on UAVs.
The Master’s degree in Advanced Telecommunications Technologies (MATT) is a joint project of the Barcelona School of Telecommunications Engineering (ETSETB) and the Castelldefels School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering (EETAC). The programme offers a broad selection of optional credits that are organised by concentration but also provide enough flexibility for students to create their own profile. On this master’s degree, you can choose one of the concentrations proposed by the schools (technical and technological specialisation at the ETSETB or cross-disciplinary courses at the EETAC) or build your own specific profile by selecting the optional subjects you are interested in at each school.
The Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering is a joint degree offered by the School of Industrial, Aerospace and Audiovisual Engineering of Terrassa (ESEIAAT) and the Castelldefels School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering (EETAC). The Master’s degree allows the exercise of the profession of Aeronautical Engineering in accordance with the legislation (Order CIN/312/2009 of 9 February). It is composed of a common year with mandatory courses, and a second year with specialization and optional courses, plus the master thesis, with a total of 120 ECTS. One of the second-year specializations of the master’s degree is focused on Air Navigation, and is offered by EETAC in Castelldefels.
