A team of EETAC professors, finalist at the 2nd Generative Artificial Intelligence Hackathon

The Hospital Clínic de Barcelona and the Salut/IA Program of the Department of Health, in collaboration with MIT Critical Data, held the second Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Hackathon applied to health in Barcelona on February 19, 20, and 21.

A team from the school, formed by professors Juan López Rubio, Jesús Alcober, and Toni Oller, together with PTGAS Josep Martí and Roberto Guarneros, participated in one of the challenges with José Jesús Broseta Monzó and Elena Cuadrado, nephrologists from Hospital Clínic, and under the mentorship of Payal Chandak from MIT. The project consisted of developing AI agents capable of predicting the dry weight of hemodialysis patients.

The team achieved the third overall position, becoming a finalist in the hackathon. A truly excellent result! Congratulations!!
