Students and professors of Quantum Information Technologies visit the company Qilimanjaro, a pioneer in the construction of quantum computers
A group of students from the Quantum Information Technologies subject, accompanied by professors Santiago Torres and Pau Fargas, enjoyed a visit to the facilities of the company Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech in Barcelona. Qilimanjaro, a Catalan startup founded in 2019 and recognized as the best in the global technology sector at the 4YFN Awards 2024 at the Mobile World Congress, is a benchmark in quantum computing thanks to its comprehensive development of hardware, software and microchips. Opting for analog quantum computing, which is less prone to errors, it seeks to accelerate the impact of this technology in the sector. Its business model includes a subscription service for quantum computers and the future creation of the first quantum data center in Europe located at its headquarters in Poblenou, Barcelona.
Part of the visit was guided by EETAC alumnus Omar Abdel·Lah Hossain, who carried out his TFG, Complex systems modeling using Capella software, supervised by professors Santiago Torres and Antoni Marzoa from EETAC, and David Eslava 'Head of Systems Engineering' from Qilimanjaro.
