EETAC teacher Jesús Alcober receives one of the Unite awards!

During the X Unite! Dialogue in Darmstadt, in Germany, the Unite! Awards have been awarded, which recognize the dedication of people and teams from each of the member universities of the alliance, committed to their development. In this first edition, UPC professor Jesús Alcober has been awarded.
Professor and researcher Jesús Alcober, from the Department of Telematics Engineering and the Castelldefels School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering (EETAC) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - BarcelonaTech (UPC), has been awarded one of the Unite Awards ! which have been delivered during the X Unite! Dialogue on September 26. This was the first edition of the Unite! Awards, which want to recognize the contributions of people and work teams from each of the member universities of the alliance, of which the UPC is a part.
At the awards ceremony, the president of Unite! highlighted the key role that professor Jesùs Alcober has played in the design, conceptualization and creation of shared digital infrastructures, such as the Metacampus and the Àgora, which have been crucial in facilitating many Unite joint activities! And beyond the alliance. The teacher's leadership in building consensus around digital infrastructures within Unite! has also been highlighted, as he has brought together diverse teams to work collaboratively towards shared goals. Their commitment to Unite! and his strong belief in the European Universities Initiative has been evident through his contributions, given his IT expertise to help turn this vision into a practical reality. For Jesús Alcober "this award is a significant recognition of our work to promote digital transformation and reflects the success of our collaboration in creating the acceleration services that these institutions need. I am honored and motivated of continuing to advance in innovation through university alliances and beyond these".
