Jaume Rius, EETAC student, 1st place in the men's category of the UniRun

This Sunday, March 2, the colors of the 12 Catalan universities have invaded the circuit of the Cursa de les Universitats, a 5 kilometer route through the district of Sant Martí and Parc del Fòrum.

UNIRUN 2025, sponsored by Adidas, has been a success with participation with 6,000 registrations sold out many weeks ago. On behalf of UPC, more than 1,500 "runners" took part. 

The absolute winner of the men's race was a UPC student, Jaume Rius (EETAC). The absolute second position also went to a UPC student, Pau Alcázar (EPSEVG).  The first UPC woman was Laura Hernández González.

 The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya has been ranked first in the men's category and ranked third in teams.

The UPC has received, for the second consecutive year, the special prize for the University with the highest percentage of female participation.

On UPC's part, the Rector of the UPC, Daniel Crespo, and the President of the Social Council, Montse Guardia, attended the award ceremony.

The percentage of registrants under the age of 25 is 82.14% and the participation by gender in this eleventh edition has been 53.4% ​​women and 46.6% men.
