The Castelldefesta Association, made up of EETAC students, has received the prize in the university social life-participation category.

Created in 2008, the Castelldefesta Cultural Association boosted its activity last year with the arrival of the new board. Its secretary, Adrián Escalona, explains that "the purpose is to promote life on the Baix Llobregat Campus and maintain university life". That's why the seven members that make up the association organize parties on different significant dates, such as the Festa Major del Campus. The idea is to be able to do activities outside the University by collaborating with clubs and venues. In fact, several people have already taken an interest in their work, so they predict that the association can grow to twenty people. Adrián Escalona explains that "the goal is for the association to have history and be part of the Campus. What we want is for there to be a constant feeling of belonging, to promote the social side of the University and for there to be university life"

For all that, Castelldefesta wants to create brotherhood and get the students to associate the events they organize with festive moments on Campus and thus "motivate students to enjoy, socialize and meet other people".

Escalona is grateful for this award, which above all will help them to continue planning events: "We are an association that is practically starting from scratch, without sufficient financial capacity to be able to organize the activities we do. This award is a small boost that will help us to promote university life much more and to create new and unique experiences".
