The School organizes various outreach activities as part of Science Week 2025

Oct 30, 2025

From November 7 to 16, 2025, science, technology, and engineering outreach activities will take place throughout Catalonia. At EETAC, we continue with the Pioneering Women in STEAM Lecture Series and offer a talk on Quantum Technologies, among others.

To celebrate the 30th Science Week, we will offer two lectures aimed especially at secondary school, high school, and vocational students, but also open to the general public:

November 12, 11:00–12:00
Lecture: Quantum Technologies: teleportation into the world of Qubits for new challenges.
We will explore what Quantum Technologies are, their most important applications for Telecommunications and Space, and how they can help address current challenges in Information Technologies. Illustrated examples will be provided on different areas of quantum technology applications in Catalonia and around the world: communications, sensing, and computing. Presented by Marc Jofre.

November 18, 11:00–12:00
We continue the Pioneering Women in STEAM Lecture Series, this time thanks to the Hypatia Mars Association, formed by women scientists, exploring the analog missions of the Hypatia I and II crews at the MDRS station, where life on Mars is simulated:
Missions anàlogues, reptes reals: ciència, ètica i futur espacial (Analog missions, real challenges: science, ethics, and the future of space).

Both lectures will take place in person and can also be followed via streaming on the EETAC YouTube channel.
Register using the FORM.

We encourage the entire community —students, teaching and research staff, and administrative staff— to take part!
