Welcome to the New Academic Year at EETAC

Sep 18, 2025

On September 8th, classes began for all the programs offered at the School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering of Castelldefels (EETAC) at UPC.

This academic year is especially notable for the launch of the new international master’s program AI4CI (Artificial Intelligence for Connected Industries), which further expands the school’s educational offering in a strategic and forward-looking area such as Artificial Intelligence.

At EETAC, we are very proud to welcome a new class of future engineers. Admission grades continue to rise across all bachelor’s programs, reflecting the high demand and prestige of our studies, with the sole exception of a slight decrease in the Aerotelecom double degree.

It is also a key year for recently created programs: the Bachelor’s Degree in Satellite Engineering and the Master’s Degree in Communications Engineering and Data Science (CoDaS) are offering second-year courses for the first time. In the case of the Bachelor’s Degree in Satellite Engineering, this includes CDIO activities, an innovative methodology that provides students with an education emphasizing the fundamentals of engineering within the context of Conceiving, Designing, Implementing, and Operating real-world systems and products.

Finally, this term we will inaugurate the new AEROSATCOM laboratory in room 030, a space designed to enhance teaching and research in the fields of aerospace and communications.

With all this, we begin the academic year with enthusiasm and with the commitment to deliver high-quality, innovative teaching connected to the technological challenges of today’s society.
